HOW TO START A REAL ESTATE BUSINESS FROM SCRATCH?
Mastering the real estate business is all about becoming good at processes, sales, and communication.
To survive and get real results so that you stay in the game, Bill says you need a formula.
In order to multiply that success and generate predictable returns and results, you need processes that make up that formula.
Too many real estate investors and new business owners try to put that off. They think they are too busy to pause and document the process and create a system for doing things. The result is everything taking longer, being riskier, and more frustrating when it comes to dealing with others.
The best thing you can do when starting a real estate business from scratch is, to begin with, the formula and processes. Document each step of the system. It will pay high dividends every day afterward.
HOW CAN I GROW MY REAL ESTATE BUSINESS FASTER?
To work faster and more accurately by yourself, you need to be able to hit more wins and work more efficiently. That’s all about processes.
If you want to grow your real estate business, then you have to build a team. It’s an essential ingredient. You can’t hit all of your goals on your own.
For most, this creates a massive new problem. How do you get your team to be as fast and effective as you are? You know what needs to be done and what you want. How can you be sure they will swiftly deliver?
You have to have these systems, steps, and processes which are repeatable. Then it almost doesn’t matter who you put in the role, and they just have to follow the steps, work the formula, and get the results.
WHAT ARE THE STEPS & PROCESSES TO SCALE YOUR REAL ESTATE BUSINESS?
Step 1 – Listen
We think we know how to listen. Yet, we often seem to use our mouth to speak instead—especially given that we have two ears and only one mouth.
Bill says that we end up interrupting people, cutting them off, and try to finish their sentences. That’s not listening. You’re not showing that you are attentive or caring about their thought process.
Step 2 – Be Clear
Too often, we think others know what we want and expect. Then we get something completely different from them. This can apply to clients, borrowers, investors, buyers, sellers, renters, partners, and vendors. It especially applies to the teams working for us and in a virtual work setting. Avoid these frustrations and friction points by taking the time to be precise and clear when you communicate.
Step 3 – Follow Up
You’ve got to keep following up. It used to take an average of seven touches to convert a prospect into a sale. Some now say it can take an average of 11. If you are only reaching out once or trying to sell them once, you are no longer even doing a tenth of the work needed to get conversions and sales. All those website clicks, phone calls, and ads get wasted.
You’ve got to follow up, and keep on giving them value and a good reason to reach back out to you.
